Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Upon arrival in
Delhi International airport (Indira Gandhi International), our representative
will provide assistance at the airport and will transfer the guests to the
hotel. After the check-in formalities, they may choose to rest or to explore
the city for the remainder of the day (if they arrive during the day
time). Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
The guests will
have a late start on this day. The morning will be free to relax at the hotel
after a long journey. They will drive around the capital area, called “Lutyens
Delhi” and then visit the Mughals’ architectural gem in Delhi, the Humayun’s
Tomb. The day will end a little outside central Delhi at the beautiful
religious buildings of Qutub Minar, which date from the onset of Islamic rule
in India.Overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Delhi - ENJOY CYCLE RICKSHAW RIDE
Following
breakfast they will go on a sightseeing tour of Old Delhi. They will have a
photo stop at Red Fort from the outside, and Jama Masjid in Old Delhi. Here
they will take a ride in a rickshaw and on the Delhi Metro from Chandni Chowk
up to Jor Bagh. Following lunch and a walk around Lodi Gardens, they will head
to the National Museum, the government’s impressive collection of artefacts
from the annals of India’s long enviable history. Later visit India Gate, War
Memorial Museum& drive past from President house & Parliament House.
Late in afternoon, proceed to the tranquil meditation hall of the B’ahai House
of Worship, also known as the Lotus Temple, built in December 1986 to resemble
a budding lotus flower, hence the name. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Delhi- Mandawa (257 Kms / 4 hrs)
Following
breakfast the guests will be driven to a tiny hamlet in the midst of the
desert, Mandawa. Mandawa is famous both for its imposing fort and beautiful Havelis.
It is located at the heart of the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. They will
take a tour of the village Overnight at hotel.
Day 05: Mandawa- Bikaner – Gajner (225 Kms / 4 hrs)
The day will begin
a drive to Bikaner. Upon reaching Bikaner at mid-day, they will do a tour of
the city with a visit to the Junagarh Fort, one of Rajasthan's most remarkable
fort complexes with almost forty bastions punctuating its ramparts. Following
the visit they will head to the hotel in midst of a remote area which is a
short drive outside Bikaner, in Gajner.Overnight at hotel.
Day 06: Gajner - Jaisalmer (300 Kms / 6 hrs)
This day the
guests will get a late start on this day. They may relax at the palatial hotel
and its environs. Afternoon, they will embark on a long a drive to the desert
city of Jaisalmer. Once a strategic trading route, this remote desert outpost
is dominated by a magnificent fort. They will spend the night in Jaisalmer. Overnight
at hotel.
Day 07: Jaisalmer - CAMEL RIDE AT SAM SAND DUNES
(DESERT)
The guests will go
on a sightseeing tour of the city of Jaisalmer, beginning with the Jaisalmer
Fort. Within the fort, there is a palace and quite a few Hindu and Jain
temples. Jaisalmer is replete with the fairy-tale architecture of the Havelis
boasting gorgeously carved stone doorways, jail screens and balconies. After
the Havelis, they can have lunch. Following lunch, they will go on a camel
safari into the timeless dunes of the Thar Desert. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08: Jaisalmer – Jodhpur (280 Kms / 5 hrs)
The guests will
drive to Jodhpur after breakfast and can have lunch on the way. Upon reaching
Jodhpur, they will check-in at the hotel and rest of the day at
leisure.Overnight at hotel.
Day 09: Jodhpur
The day will begin
with a tour of the Blue City, Jodhpur. The defining feature of this otherwise
low-rise cityscape, rising 400 feet above the city, the Mehrangarh Fort is at
once colossal and delicate, imposing and organic. After fort, they will visit a
clock tower called Ghanta Ghar and the market adjoining it is known for its
silver art, textiles and spices. The Jaswant Thada, close to the Clock Tower is
an intricately crafted cenotaph was built in 1899 in honour of Maharaja Jaswant
Singh II. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10: Jodhpur – Jawai Leopard Camp (160 Kms / 3
hrs)
The day will begin
with a drive to the Jawai Camp, lying at the heart of an untrammeled
wilderness, where leopards roam wild and free. Following lunch at the camp,
they will go on a Jeep safari into the wilderness to spot the elusive
leopard.Overnight at hotel.
Day 11: Jawai Leopard Camp – Udaipur (150 Kms / 3
hrs)
The day will begin
with another Safari in to the wild. After which they will drive to Udaipur.
Udaipur as a city is one of India’s most beautiful sights and is also known as
“The City of Lakes”. Focussed around Lake Pichola, palace-cum-hotels are
scattered around the city that is surrounded by the Aravalli Mountains. The
guests will enjoy a boat ride in the scenic Lake Pichola. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12: Udaipur
After breakfast
the guests will embark on a sightseeing tour of the city of Udaipur. On the
peaceful banks of Lake Pichola, City Palace stands majestically, boasting
panoramic views of the lake and city. Just next to the entrance of the City
Palace stands the imposing Jagdish Temple. The beautiful ‘Saheliyon-Ki-Bari’ or
the Garden of the Maidens on the banks of the Lake Fateh Sagar is a spectacular
getaway. They will then take a trip to the magnificent Shri Eklingji Prabhu
Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, it traces its history back to the founding of
the Mewar dynasty in the 8th century.Overnight at hotel.
Day 13: Udaipur – Shahpura (220 Kms / 4 hrs)
The guests will
have a relaxed start on this day and drive to Shahpura. After checking in at
Shahpura, they can take a walk in the rustic streets of the town and experience
the rural ambience of the place. They will spend the night at Shahpura
Haveli.Overnight at hotel.
Day 14: Shahpura – Pushkar - Jaipur (280 Kms / 6
hrs)
They guests may
have an early start on this day. After check-out and breakfast, they will drive
to Jaipur. En route they will stop at Pushkar and walk around the town. They
will then proceed to the Pink City, Jaipur where they will spend the night.
Those who wish may choose to visit the local markets for which Jaipur is
renowned. They may also visit the Raj Mandir Cinema and those who want to watch
a colourful Bollywood movie may do so.Overnight at hotel.
Day 15: Jaipur - ELEPHANT RIDE
The day will begin
after breakfast with a visit to the Old City of Jaipur. The guests will see
Hawa Mahal from outside and can click some pictures, the grand royal City
Palace and the seventeenth century astronomical observatory, the Jantar Mantar,
they will head to the grand hill-fort, the Amber Fort. Later, they will have
lavish lunch with Elephant ride at JAIPUR. Evening will be free at
leisure.Overnight at hotel.
Day 16: Jaipur – Samode (42 Kms / 1 hrs)
This day, the
guests will drive from Jaipur to Samode Palace after breakfast. The
475-year-old palace is a splendid example of regal Indo-Saracenic architecture.
Now it functions as a luxury hotel where the guests will spend the rest of the
day. They will visit the palace, walk around the village and absorb the regal,
yet rustic ambience of the place. Overnight at hotel.
Day 17: Samode – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra (260 Kms / 6
hrs)
After an early
breakfast, the day will begin with a drive to Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri or
‘The city of victory’, is one of the best-preserved examples of Mughal
architecture in India. This magnificent fortified medieval city was the
short-lived capital of the Mughal Empire. After the visit, they will then head
to the City of the Taj Mahal, Agra. The evening will be free for leisure. Overnight
at hotel.
Day 18: Agra – Delhi (210 Kms / 4 hrs)/Departure
The day begins with a visit to the marvel in marble, the Taj Mahal at sunrise. After breakfast, they will the visit the Agra Fort which is another splendid example of Mughal architecture. They will head back to Delhi after lunch. In Delhi, they will go to the hotel for dinner and wash and change. They will then head to the airport to board their flight back home. They will be assisted by our representative during the departure proceedings.
