Itinerary
DAY 01 : ARRIVE DELHI
Arrive at Delhi.
Delhi- is a city that bridges two different worlds. Old Delhi, once the capital
of Islamic India, is a labyrinth of narrow lanes lined with crumbling Havelis
and formidable mosques. In contrast, the imperial city of New Delhi created by
the British Raj is composed of spacious, tree-lined avenues and imposing
government buildings. Delhi has been the seat of power for several rulers and
many empires for about a millennium. Many a times the city was built, destroyed
and then rebuilt here. Interestingly, a number of Delhi's rulers played a dual
role, first as destroyers and then as creators.
Upon arrival at airport, you will be met and assisted by our representative and transfer to hotel. (Standard check in time at the hotel is 1400 hours)

DAY 02 : DELHI
After breakfast
in the hotel, you will be proceed for the sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi
which includes drive pass Red Fort; Chandni Chowk (Silver Street) famed for its
colorful bazaars in narrow lanes; visit the Jama Masjid – Friday Mosque, which
is the country’s largest mosque, Raj Ghat – the cremation site of Mahatma
Gandhi; India Gate – a 42 meters high, free standing arch built as a war
memorial; Rashtrapati Bhawan, which is the official residence of the President
of India; Humayun’s Tomb – set in wonderful gardens built in the Mughal
Emperors memory by his wife; Qutub Minar – a 72 meters high tower built in 1199
A.D;

DAY 03: DELHI -
AGRA
After breakfast
in the hotel, you will drive to Agra (220 Kms/ approx 4 hours). Agra -
"Agra is the city of the Taj Mahal and capital of the erstwhile Mughal
Empire. Agra is also the gateway to the legendary Braj region, the land of Lord
Krishna "Situated on the west bank of River Yamuna, Agra is one of the
most popular tourist destinations in India. It is as loved by Indians as it is
by foreigners who throng here in large numbers to admire its beauty.
Upon arrival at Agra, you will proceed for sightseeing tour of Agra Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday’s)– Said to be one of the most elegant and harmonious buildings in the world, Taj Mahal is the manifestation of the wealth and luxury of Mughal art as seen in its architecture, garden design, painting, and calligraphy. the you will visit The red sandstone Agra Fort was renovated and converted into a palace during Shah Jahan's time, and reworked extensively with marble and pietra dura inlay. Notable buildings in the fort include the Pearl Mosque, the Diwan-e-Am and Diwan-e-Khas (halls of public and private audience), Jehangir's Palace, Khaas Mahal, Sheesh Mahal (mirrored palace), and Musamman Burj. DAY 04: AGRA -
JAIPUR
After breakfast
in the hotel, you will drive to Jaipur (260 kms/ approx 5 hours) En route you
will visit Fatehpur Sikri is a fine example of a Mughal walled city with
defined private and public areas and imposing gateways. Its architecture, a
blend of Hindu and Islamic styles, reflects Akbars secular vision as well as
his style of governance. After the visit to Fatehpur Sikri, you will drive and
visit Abhaneri Stepwell is one of the most intricate pieces of architecture in
Rajasthan, India. Also, known as Chand Baori, the Stepwell is one of the
largest stepwells in the entirety of Rajasthan.
When it was built, the well not only helped the villagers and the tradesmen to draw water in the time of thirst but also conserved groundwater. Continue your drive to Jaipur.
Jaipur -The
origins of the beautiful city of Jaipur can be traced back to the eighteenth
century, during the reign of Jai Singh II who ascended the Amber throne in
1699. Popularly known as the Pink City because of the extensive use of the
locally abundant pink plastered stone. Jaipur thrills the soul with its massive forts, magnificent palaces,
exquisite temples and lush gardens. It holds the distinction of being the first
planned city of India. Renowned globally for its colored gems, the capital city
of Rajasthan combines the allure of its ancient history with all the advantages
of a metropolis.
Upon arrival you will check in at your hotel. In the evening, you will enjoy the cooking demo with Dinner at Dera Mandawa. Overnight in the hotel
DAY 05: JAIPUR
After breakfast
at the hotel, you will proceed for the sightseeing tour of Jaipur which starts
with a visit to the Amber Fort, 11 kms away from the city. Amber was the
ancient capital of Jaipur state. The fort is a superb example of Rajput
architecture, stunningly situated on a hill side, overlooking a lake. The tour
also includes a photo stop at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) with it’s façade
of all pink windows and filigree screens, and visits to the City Palace and
Museum, still the home of the former Royalty of Jaipur and now housing a Museum
that has an extensive collection of art, carpets and old weapons. Finish the
tour by visiting the Jantar Mantar (observatory) built in 1728, with its
striking instruments and construction for measuring the positions of stars,
planets, altitudes and calculating eclipses. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 06: JAIPUR -
ROHET
After breakfast
in the hotel, you will drive to Rohet (370 Kms/ approx 6 hours). Rohet Garh is
a classified Heritage Hotel. Since 1990 it has been nurtured and developed with
great love and care by the family into one of the finest Heritage hotels in the
country. Situated on the banks of a lake and set in the midst of rural
surroundings, it is a haven of peace and tranquillity.
Sprawling lawns and manicured gardens, which invite a multitude of birds and dancing peacocks, herald your entry into this oasis where the bird song is the only sound you will hear. A superb swimming pool with four charming pavilions entices you for a refreshing dip. Often dinner is served by the poolside as folk musicians enliven the evening atmosphere. An elegant, beautifully appointed lounge, serene verandas, and terraces with breath-taking views, make perfect venues for relaxation. The thirty individually and beautifully appointed rooms offer all the creature comforts and add a touch of class.

Enjoy the you will enjoy the Culinary Workshops and Demos. The Rohet cuisine is internationally acclaimed. The late Thakurani Sahiba Jayendra Kumari authored a couple of books on traditional cuisine. The Rohet kitchens have featured in prestigious to programs like ‘Rhodes across India ‘hosted by the famous Chef from Britain - Garry Rhodes himself. All the recipes for the workshop and demo are selected from Thakurani Sahiba’s famous books. Our trained chefs conduct the workshop with expertise, covering all the courses. Guests get to try their hand as well if they so desire. They are then treated to a fabulous dinner of all the delicacies they have produced… and more!

DAY 07 : ROHET - DEOGARH
After breakfast
in the hotel, you will ride The ‘Marwari Horses at Wilderness Camp. Rohet
boasts of the best stables of the Marwari Breed of horses in the country.
Guests get the unique opportunity to
ride and savor
this beautiful breed of horse. (If they
are good enough to ride them, otherwise we have other quieter horses!). The
semi-arid shrub and bush country make for ideal riding terrain. Besides the
pleasure of riding some of the breed’s best specimens, the rides are also an
enriching cultural experience.
Guests get to experience rural Rajasthan up close. The opportunity to visit villages and interact with local folk is part of all our itineraries. The land is also surprisingly rich in wildlife. The rare and famous Black Buck antelope and a wide variety of birds are sighted in large numbers. To sight these animals on horseback is an entirely different and exhilarating experience
Morning or evening rides: Duration 1 and a half to 2 hours
Later you will
drive to Deogarh (120 kms/ approx 2.5 hours). Upon arrival at Deogarh, you will
proceed to check in at your hotel
Later you will enjoy the jeep Ride (Rural Rumble) Rural Ramble - The Rural Ramble is a drive through a pastoral setting where one explores the natural surroundings with people tending to their fields and cattle and living in complete harmony with nature. You will visit a cave temple –a cavernous rock in which is a shrine of Lord Shiva is ensconced. The top of this rock offers a panoramic view of the landscape of black volcanic rocks interspersed with green fields. The drive then leads to a lake side where refreshments are served. These lakes attract a lot of the local migratory birds and small animals that are lovely to watch with the sun set as a backdrop.

DAY 08: DEOGARH
- UDAIPUR
After an early
breakfast in the hotel, you will transfer to station for the rural train rides
are possible in India. One of the places that you have identified is the train
safari in Deogarh, which embodies all the nuances of sightseeing in rural India
with the slow chug of a train. A nice pleasure trip into the Aravali
Hills by Meter gauge train on 1930’s British Track. The track consists of
17 U shaped bridges and 2 tunnels with lots of monkeys. Distance covered is
only 17 KM but the time taken is 2 Hours. Recommended time is 9.30 AM from
Deogarh Mahal. The guest’s cab and driver is needed for this.
Later you will drive to Udaipur (162 Kms/ approx 4 hours), enroute visit Kumbhalgarh Fort. - the second most important fort in Rajasthan. Set 1100 feet above sea level, in the Aravali hills, the fort has perimeter walls that extend 36 kilometers in length, claimed to be the longest in the world after the Great Wall of China. The fort is self-contained and has within its amalgam almost everything to withstand a long siege. The fort fell only once that too to the combined armies of Mughal and of Amber for scarcity of drinking water. Inside the Fort walls, are many magnificent palaces and an array of temples built by the Mauryas.The fort also offers a superb birds view of the surroundings. The fort's large compound has very interesting ruins and the walk around it can be very rewarding.

DAY 09: UDAIPUR
After breakfast
in the hotel, you will proceed for the sightseeing tour of Udaipur which
includes a visit to the City Palace, towering over the lake, this is the
largest palace complex in Rajasthan. The main part of the palace is now
preserved as a museum with a large and varied collection of glass, porcelain
figures and miniature paintings. Also visit the Jagdish Temple, located only
150 metres from the city palace, it enshrines a black stone image of Lord
Vishnu as Jagannath, Lord of the universe. Finish the tour with a visit to Saheliyon
ki bari, or the garden of the Maids of Honour, which is a small ornamental
garden with fountains, stone elephants and a delightful lotus pool.
In the afternoon enjoy a boat trip on the Lake Pichola. This is considered the best way to end the day in Udaipur. Hills, palaces, temples, bathing ghats and embankments, surround Udaipur's famous lake and landmark. The two island palaces, Jag Niwas and Jag Mandir, are situated on it. The Jag Niwas, also called the Lake Palace hotel, seemingly floats in the glittering waters of the lake and is perhaps one of India’s most photographed buildings.

DAY 10: UDAIPUR
– DELHI FLIGHT & DEPARTURE
After breakfast
in the hotel, you will transfer to Udaipur airport in time to connect flight
for Delhi, upon arrival in Delhi, you will remain in transit to connect flight
for onward destination.
