Overview

Nine Devi Darshan is associated with the goddess Durga who is worshipped in the different forms in the Hindu religion. The Nau (9) Devi Darshan is the tour to the nine manifestations of the goddess Durga. The worship of the goddess Durga removes all sins and faults of the devotee. Out of the nine major abodes of the goddess Shakti, seven are in Himachal Pradesh, one each in Jammu and Chandigarh.

The Nau (9) Devi Darshan tour takes pilgrims to all these places and offers a convenient opportunity to the devotees throughout the year. But devotees must visit the places during the auspicious time of the Navaratri in September and October. The convenient tour plan helps devotees to visit all places without any hassle. The tour enables devotees to rejuvenate their mind and bodies with the tranquillity and spirituality of the places.

The temples visited during the tour are Mansa Devi temple in Chandigarh, Naina Devi temple in Bilaspur, sheetla Devi temple devoted to the Mata Sheetla Devi, Chintpurni temple where wishes are fulfilled, and Mata Jawla Devi temple in Dharamshala. This temple is dedicated to Mata Jawala Mukhi and has nine permanent flames that are named after goddesses Mahakali, Unpurna, Chandi, Hinglaj, Bindhya basin, Maha Lakshmi, Saraswati, Ambika and Anji Devi. The visit to the Maa Bhagula Mukhi Temple is also part of the tour for taking the blessings of the Maa Bhagula. The Kangra Devi Temple in which the Maa Kangra is worshipped in the form of a ‘pindi’ is also visited. The visit to the Chamunda Devi Mandir in Dharamshala and visit Katra for Vaishno Devi temple.

Along with these temple visits the local sightseeing to places of interest is included in all places. The hotel accommodation, transport expenses, breakfast, dinner and local tax, and tolls are part of the package tour provided by us.

Day 01: Arrive Delhi

Evening arrive at IGI (Indira Gandhi International) airport.

On arrival, meeting, assistance at airport by our representative and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 02: Delhi

Morning breakfast at hotel, later our representative will meet you explain the travel plan in detail and hand over the essential documents (Tour programme, hotel’s vouchers, feedback report etc.) to you. Later start combined city tour of Old & New Delhi.

Visiting: Laxmi Narayan Temple, Red Fort (From outside) - Closed on Monday, Enjoy Cycle rickshaw ride in narrow alleys of old Delhi through Kinari Bazaar and 400 years old Chandni Chowk bazaars. Humayun Tomb (from outside), Qutab Minar the highest stone tower in India, India Gate - This solemn monument was built in memory of the 90,000 Indian soldiers who laid down their lives in the World War Ist. Drive past the Rashtrapathi Bhawan, Parliament House, Lotus temple, Lodhi Garden & Sai Mandir.  Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 03: Delhi - Chandigarh via Mansa Devi Temple - 6 hours

After an early breakfast, start your drive to Chandigarh from where the 9 Nau (Nine) Devi darshan tour starts. Visit Mata Mansa Devi Temple, dedicated to Maa Mansa, the shrine is highly revered by the devotees. People from far and near, visit the temple to seek the blessings of Maa Mansa.

Leave for Chandigarh after Darshan. On reaching Chandigarh, check-in at the hotel. Go for sightseeing at the attractions of Chandigarh. Visit the famous Sukhana Lake, Rock Garden and Tower of Shadows. Enjoy a comfortable stay at the hotel.

 

Day 04: Chandigarh - Nainadevi (125 Km 2hrs) - Chintpurni/Sheetladevi (150 Km. 2.5hrs) – Kangra (70 Km 1.5 hrs)

Morning, after breakfast, drive towards Naina Devi Temple in Himachal Pradesh. The temple is located on a hill top and is accessible by stairs as well as cable car. The sacred shrine is one of the 51 Shaktipeethas, as it is believed to be the place where the eyes of Sati fell down.

After darshan, proceed for a visit to the Sheetla Devi Temple dedicated to Mata Sheetla Devi. Also visit the Chintpurni Temple, considered to be the immense religious importance. It is believed that a visit to this temple by those who wish for something from a true heart will have their wishes fulfilled. After prayers at the two temples, return to the hotel for overnight stay.

 

Day 05: Kangra - Jwala ji (35 Km 1 hr.) / Bhagula Mukhi / Kangra Devi / Mata Kapal Pathri / Mata Kangraji / Mata Jawala ji

Post Breakfast you will do an excursion Jwala Ji Temple which is dedicated to Goddess Jwalamukhi. The temple is believed to have nine permanent flames that have been named after goddesses- Mahakali, Unpurna, Chandi, Hinglaj, BindhyaBasni, Maha Lakshmi, Saraswati, Ambika and Anji Devi.

Later, go to seek blessings of MaaBhagulaMukhi who is known to be the source of every knowledge of the universe. Also visit the Kangra Devi Temple where some parts of Sati fell. MaaKangra is worshipped in the temple in the form of a ‘pindi’.

Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Night stay at hotel in Kangra.

 

Day 06: Kangra – Chamunda Devi (70km. 1.5 hrs.)  - Dharamshala (30km. 30 Minutes)

After breakfast, drive for Chamunda Devi Mandir in the morning. Also known as Chamundi, Chamunda Devi is one of the seven mother goddesses. People from all over visit the temple to seek the blessings of Maa Chamunda.

In the afternoon, go for a sightseeing tour of Dharamshala and visit attractions like Dalai Lama Monastery and Bhagsu Nag temple. Night stay at hotel.

 

Day 07: Dharamshala / Katra (250 Km. 5 - 6 hrs.)

Leave for Katra via Jammu this morning. On arriving in Katra, check-in at the hotel. Spend the day the way you like. You can go to explore the local market of Katra. Overnight stay at Katra.

 

Day 08: Katra to Maa Vaishno Devi Temple

Early in the morning, start trekking to the Vaishno Devi Shrine. One of the holiest shrines in India, Vaishno Devi Temple is the abode of Maa Vaishno Devi, who is also known as Mata Rani. Maa Vaishno is considered a manifestation of Mother Goddess.

People from all over the world visit the temple to seek blessings of Maa Vaishno. People believe that no prayer goes unanswered from the temple of Maa Vaishno. Trek back to Katra after Darshan at the temple. On reaching, get back to the hotel and stay overnight.


Day 09: Katra – Amritsar (270 Kms. / 5 - 6 hrs.)

After an early breakfast start driving to Amritsar and en-route visit Wagah border. A popular attraction of Amritsar, Wagah border is the border connecting India and Pakistan. The key highlight of the place is the evening ceremony that takes place every day. Later, go back to the hotel for Night stay.

 

Day 10: Amritsar / Departure

Enjoy your breakfast and checkout from the hotel. Begin the sightseeing tour of Amritsar with a visit to Harmandir Sahib, also known as the Golden Temple. Later, visit Jallianwala Bagh, a place holding a lot of historical significance. It is the area which commemorates the massacre commissioned by General Dyer during the British Rule. Later, get dropped at the Airport to board your homebound flight.
