DAY 01: ARRIVE KOLKATA

In time arrive at Kolkata International Airport.

On arrival meeting, assistance at airport by our representative and transfer to hotel. Where our executive will explain the travel plan in detail and hand over the essential documents (Tour programme, hotel’s vouchers, feedback report etc) to you. Rest of the day free to relax at hotel. Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 02: KOLKATA

After breakfast at hotel visit Dakshineswar Kali Temple, Thanthania Kalibari, Birla Mandir, Mother Teresa Memorial & Kalighat Kali Temple - Kalighat Kali Temple is a Hindu temple in West Bengal, India dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali. It is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. Kalighat was a Ghat sacred to Kali on the old course of the Hooghly river in the city of Calcutta. Rest of the day free to explore local markets at your own.

 

DAY 03: KOLKATA

After breakfast & checkout from the hotel visit Victoria Memorial Hall Victoria memorial hall is a fabulous museum that was established in the year 1921.  The credit for designing and drawing the plan for this monument goes to Sir William Emerson, President of the British Institute of Architects.

Howrah Bridge located over the Hooghly River in West Bengal, India, is said to be the busiest bridge of the world. It got its name owing to the fact that it connects the city of Howrah to Calcutta. Hawrah Bridge in Kolkata, India, also known by the name 'Rabindra Setu’.

 

Belur Math - Swami Vivekananda founded Belur Math in 1898. Besides being the home to the headquarters of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, the Belur Math is well known for its architecture elegance, clean environs, sacred associations and its spiritual atmosphere. Located on the western bank of the Ganga, it is a haven of peace, drawing thousands of people every day from all over the world.

 

DAY 04:  KOLKATA – GAYA (TRAIN)

Early morning checkout & transfer to airport to board on flight to Gaya. Bodhgaya It was here that Siddhartha meditated for 48 days under a "Bodhi tree" and was enlightened on the 49th day and became Buddha, the enlightened one!!!

 

On arrival meeting assistance at airport by our local representative and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free. Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 05: GAYA – VARANASI (255 KMS / 5.5 HRS)

After early breakfast & checkout from the hotel visit Mahabodhi temple with the tree, below which Buddha was enlightened, the footprints of Buddha & the monastery. Vishnupad Mandir, Pind-Daan & Ratnaghara.  Later in the afternoon drive to Varanasi. Varanasi situated on the banks of the sacred Ganges, Varanasi has been a center of pilgrimage and learning for over 2000 years and is considered to be one of the oldest surviving cities in the world.

 

On arrival, check-in at hotel.  After wash and change at hotel enjoy excursion tour to Sarnath - After the Buddha attained enlightenment in Bodh Gaya, he came to Sarnath. Here in the Deer Park, he delivered his first sermon or set in motion the Wheel of Law (MahaDharmachakraPravartan.) Evening see AARTI at river Ghat. Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 06: VARANASI

Early morning enjoy boat ride to watch the sunrise over the Ganges when hundreds of people are worshiping & taking bath. Later return back to hotel.

 

Later after breakfast at hotel visit famous temples including – Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple, Kaal Bhairav Mandir, Maa Mangala Gauri Mandir and Kashi Hindu University where more than fifty thousand students from all over the world are learning. Evening free for leisure activities. Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 07: VARANASI – PRAYAGRAJ (125 KMS / 2.5 HRS) – AGRA (O/N TRAIN)

After breakfast & checkout from the hotel drive to Prayagraj  formerly known as Allahabad. Allahabad - The city of Allahabad is among the largest cities and situated at the confluence of three rivers- Ganga, Yamuna and the invisible Saraswati. The meeting point is known as Triveni and is especially sacred to Hindus.

 On arrival visit Anand Bhawan - The ancestral home of the Nehrus / India’s first prime minister, the Anand Bhawan now houses a memorabilia of the Nehru-Gandhi family and one of the excellent museums of India. Swaraj Bhawan - Located next to the Anand Bhawan, and built by Pt. Moti Lal Nehru, it is the house where the former Prime Minister of India Mrs. Indira Gandhi was born. Khusrau Bagh, Hanuman Mandir & Sangam - Located approximately 7 km from Civil Lines, it is actually the confluence of three holy rivers-Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. It becomes a center of attraction for hundreds and thousands of religious travelers after every twelve years when it hosts the famous Kumbh Mela. It stands as one of the greatest tourist attractions on your tour to India.

 

Later in time transfer to railway station to board on train to Agra. Overnight in train.

 

DAY 08: ARRIVE AGRA

Early morning arrive at Agra railway station.

On arrival meeting assistance by our local representative and transfer to hotel.

After wash and change at hotel visit Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday) world's greatest monument to love. Agra Fortbuilt by the Mughal dynasty's greatest Emperor, Akbar, in 1565.

Evening free to explore local markets at your own. Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 09: AGRA – MATHURA & VRINDAVAN – DELHI (200 KMS / 4.5 HRS)

After breakfast & checkout from the hotel drive to Delhi.

 

Enroute visit Mathura & Vrindavan.

Mathura, the birth place of Lord Krishna, is located in Uttar Pradesh on the west of the river Yamuna. Besides being a Hindu pilgrimage, this north-Indian city is the centre for administration of the Mathura District. Mathura is popularly known as the "Brajbhoomi", the sacred land of Lord Krishna. On arrival enjoy temple tour to Mathura & Vrindavan.

 

Visiting Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple. Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple is the most sought after devout centers in Mathura. Its predominance over the other holy spots are due to the belief that the temple stands on the same place where lord Krishna was born to Devaki and Vasudev. Numerous articles excavated from the site bare testimony to the legendary story of Sri Krishna’a birth. These artifacts are displayed in a museum near to the main temple. Shri bankey Bihari temple & Other Temples. Also visit Vrindavan – a village once noted for its fragrant groves, is where he spent an eventful youth. There are numerous other little spots in the area that still reverberate with the enchantment of Shri Krishna.

 

Later continue drive to Delhi. Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 10: DELHI – HARIDWAR (200 KMS / 4.5 HRS)

After breakfast & checkout from the hotel drive to Haridwar. Haridwar - It is located on the banks of River Ganga. It is said that taking bath in Haridwar's Ganga purifies the soul & the devotee attains Nirvana. On arrival, visit famous temple and places, including - Chandi Devi Temple, Vaishno Devi Mandir, Daksheshwar Mahadev

 Later check-in at hotel. In the evening one can see Aarti at Har Ki Pauri - This wonderful riverside bank was constructed by King Vikramaditya in memory of his brother Bhartri hari. It is said that all the sins that a mortal commits are washed out by bathing at this river-bank. Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 11: HARIDWAR – RISHIKESH – HARIDWAR

After breakfast at hotel enjoy excursion tour to Rishikesh. Rishikesh - is a small town, scenically located where the Ganges River comes down from the Himalayas, Rishikesh catapulted to Western fame when the Beatles dropped by for a visit to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's ashram (now closed), and the town is still known as the World Capital of Yoga. Rishikesh is also the Gateway to the Himalayas. The Char Dham Yatra (Four Shrines Sacred Journey) ideally begins from Rishikesh. Rishikesh itself famous for its various Ayurvedic treatments.

 Visit famous Temples and places including Ram & Laxman Jhula, Treveni Ghat, Neelkhant Mahadev Temple. One can also take holy dip in holy Ganges.

 Later return back to Haridwar. Evening free at your own. Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 12: HARIDWAR – DELHI (255 KMS / 5.5. HRS)

Morning after a relaxing breakfast, checkout from the hotel and drive to Delhi. On arrival check-in at hotel. Rest of the day free at your own.

 

DAY 13: DELHI

After breakfast at hotel enjoy city tour of New Delhi & old Delhi start from Red Fort  - from outside (Closed on Monday) -  built in red sandstone, Constructed by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan, Jama Masjid - India's largest mosque. Rajghat - crimination place of Mahatama Gandhi.  Laxmi Narayan Temple, Lotus Temple and Qutab Minar - the highest stone tower in India. India Gate - This solemn monument was built in memory of the 90,000 Indian soldiers who laid down their lives in the World War Ist. Drive past the Rashtrapathi Bhawan, Parliament House.

 

Evening free to explore local markets at your own. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 14: DELHI / DEPARTURE

Morning breakfast at hotel. Rest of the day free to explore local markets at your own. In time transfer to airport to board your homebound flight with the happy memory of our incredible nation.
