Day 01: Arrival

On arrival
at the Kolkata Airport/ railway station, get assistance with transfer to your
hotel. Take some rest and then you will embark on the sightseeing tour of the
city. You will visit Kalighat Temple which is dedicated to Goddess Kali. This
temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peetha. The Goddess Shakti is known as Dakshin
Kalika here, however, the Bhairav is known as Nakulesh. It is believed that the
right toe of the Dakshayani Sati has fallen here. This temple is considered as
one of the holiest temples for the devotees of Goddess Shakti or Durga.
Later you
will visit the Alipore Zoo and spot some of the exotic species of flora, fauna,
and wildlife species. The evening is at your leisure. You can visit the market
and buy some of the souvenirs for your loved ones. Overnight stay at the hotel
in Kolkata.
Day 02: Kolkata
Start the
day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Later get ready to get some
amazing sightseeing. The 2nd day of the Sunderban Tour Package includes a full
day Kolkata sightseeing tour. Kolkata combines the charms of its heydays with
its cultural spirits. The popular sites in the 'City of Joy' include
Dakhineshwar Kali Temple, Belur Math, the world-renowned Howrah Bridge, Indian
Museum, Mother House, and Victoria Memorial.
A well-spent
day in Kolkata also includes the taste of the delicious gastronomy. The rest of
the evening is at leisure. You can go shopping and buy some souvenirs for your
loved ones. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 03: Kolkata
- Gothkhali – Sunderbans
Get
transferred to the Gothkhali early morning. Today's plans for the Sunderban
tour package from Kolkata include leaving the city life behind for the
bio-diverse haven of Sunderbans, thriving with wildlife and enriching
experiences.
On the way,
admire the beautiful countryside and the rural shops. You will get a packed
breakfast. On arriving at Gothkhali, start with a motorboat journey. Get a
briefing from a local guide accompanied by a naturalist. Cruise on the rivers
of Bidyadhari, Durgaduni, and Gumdi for around one and a half hours. Lunch will
be served on-board.
On arrival
at Dulki, check-in at the resort. The later afternoon is planned to enjoy bird
watching. You will visit Bird's Island. You can spot a kingfisher, egret,
Brahmani eagles, pond heron, black cormorants, magpie robin, green bee-eaters,
etc. After dinner, retire to your comfy lodgings for the night.
Day 04: Sunderbans
Start the
day with breakfast and get ready. The 4th day of the Sunderbans national park
tour is completely reserved for Sunderban sightseeing. Proceed towards the
watchtower for bird watching (subjected to weather conditions). You will visit
the Sajnekhali watchtower, Sudhanyakhali watch tower, and Dobanki watchtower.
You will also visit for the canopy walk at Dobanki from where you will be able
to view wildlife from a netted enclosure. While cruising through the small
channels and creeks you will be able to spot different wildlife such as
dolphins, spotted deer, wild boars, monitor lizards, etc.
Savor the
lunch in the boat and later get back to the resort. The evening is made special
with a theatre performance, a musical dance performance that narrated the local
life and culture of Sunderbans. Dinner and night stay at the resort.
Day 05: Sunderbans
– Gothkhali – Kolkata
Start the
day with breakfast. Later in the morning, you will proceed to the local village
tour where you can buy honey and some locally made handicrafts. Later, get
assistance with transfer to Gothkhali by boat. From Gothkhali, get on the road
back to Kolkata.
After
reaching Kolkata, get dropped at the hotel. The rest of the day is at your own
leisure. You can explore the city on your own. You can savor the charms of
Kolkata or go shopping. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 06: Kolkata/Departure
The
wonderful Sunderban tour ends today. Get timely transfer to the Airport to
board your onward return flight, while taking with you the fond memories of
