Located in the eastern part of Nagaland,
Tuensang is a district bounded by five districts Mokokchung, Mon, Longleng,
Zunheboto, and Kiphire. Most importantly it rests on the International border
of Indo-Myanmar. The district is endowed with rich in cultural heritage and

Tuensang
is well connected to each city, though not directly but In-directly, through
the nearby Airport and Railway stations and the roads connecting the nearby
major cities to Tuensang are very efficient. Dimapur is the only city connected
with railways and airways. Thus, the only way to reach Tuensang is by bus,
private cars or hired taxis.
The climate in
Tuensang is quite temperate during the summers though, during the winters and
monsoon the climate is at the extremes. The summers are relatively more
pleasant than the winters here because during the winter season the temperature
drops to as low as 4 degrees Celcius making travelling almost next to
impossible during these months. Tuensang experiences heavy rainfall during the
monsoon season which again makes it difficult to traverse the town. Hence, the
best time to visit this place would be during the summer.

Tuensang is the
headquarters of the Tuensang district, the easternmost, largest district of
Nagaland, and flanked by Myanmar on its right side. It is one of the largest
urban center in Nagaland along with Dimapur, Kohima and Mokokchung, making
